New theatre to appear in Baku

The Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced about creation of Baku Estrade Theater.

Fariz Aliyev was appointed the director of the new theater.

Aliyev graduated from the Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University. He is a screenwriter for TV programs such as "Belə yaxşıdır", "Tamamla", "Səs verməyin" and several Azerbaijani films ("My name is Intiqam-1", "My name is Intiqam-2", "Şər qarışanda") and cooperates with Baku’s KVN club.

Currently the capital has about 11 theatres and there are a couple dozen in the country’s regions. The national stage puts on plays by both domestic and many foreign playwrights.
