The new Season of Azerbaijan Fashion Week – first global fashion project that meets the standards of Milan, Paris, London and New York Fashion Weeks will be held in May.

The variety of shows by talented local designers as well as famous international designers are traditionally presented during Fashion Week. This season Azerbaijan Fashion Week has a very special guest – French designer Jean Claude Jitrois. Jitrois revolutionized the fashion industry by producing the first stretch leather trousers in the world. The key behind this revolutionary idea was to line the leather - then later also suede, python and kangaroo - with a fine layer of stretch cotton. Using this technique, the garment would be contoured to the body like a second skin, without creating creases or folds. Jean Claude Jitrois had given leather a veritable power of seduction.

Application forms for participating in Azerbaijan Fashion Week for press, designers and volunteers must be applied on info@afw.az

Azerbaijan Fashion Week is held twice a year in November and May. More than 40 designers from Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, France and Spain participated in last two seasons. The main purpose of the Week is to popularize growing fashion industry in Azerbaijan and give an opportunity to young and talented designers to show their work to the world.

Azerbaijan Fashion Week is a place that gathers local and international buyers, press and fashion critics together.
