Armenia continues to violate ceasefire

Armenian armed units violated ceasefire with Azerbaijan 118 times on various parts of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenia troops over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on April 16.

Armenian armed units stationed in village Berkaber of Armenia’s Ijevan district, Chinari, Mosesgekh villages of Berd district, Voskevan village of Noyemberyan district fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces in Gizilhajili, Gushchu Ayrim villages of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district, Agdam, Alibayli, Kokhanabi villages of Tovuz district.

Moreover, Azerbaijani positions located on nameless uplands of Gadabay district came under fire from Armenian positions located on nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.

Another ceasefire violation came from the positions located in Goyarkh, Chilaburt, Yarimcha villages of Terter district, Shikhlar, Bash Karvand, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Shuraabad, Yusifjanli, Garagashli, Marzili, Namirli villages of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashaghi Seyidahmadli of Fizulu district, Mehdili of Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless uplands in Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavend, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts.

In consideration of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 120 strikes on enemy positions.
