US attitude to Trans-Caspian project implementation

The implementation of the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline project depends on the consent of the neighboring countries, said Amos Hochstein, special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs at the US Department of State.

Axar.az informs, Caspian littoral countries can arrive at some agreements which will make it possible to deliver oil and oil products to Europe, Hochstein told a press conference in Baku Dec. 15.

Asked about possible support from the US to the (Trans-Caspian project), the special envoy replied “our priorities are the current projects”.
