Hochstein: Russia can’t be involved in energy security

Neither the US nor other states think Russia can’t be involved in energy security but we would not like it if a supplying country entered the market and violated the rules, pursuing a monopolist policy, said Amos Hochstein, special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs at the US Department of State.

Axar.az informs, any country, when entering the market, should be allowed to choose a supplier and make a decision on the basis of price factor, Hochstein told a press conference in Baku Dec. 15.

“We wish Caspian marine resources reach the European market. We do believe it will happen,” he added.
