Turkish and Russian foreign ministers spoke over the phone about the situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo on Saturday, according to a diplomatic source.
Mevlut Cavusoglu and his counterpart Sergey Lavrov discussed the developments in Aleppo, especially the evacuation of civilians from the city, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.
The source said the ministers also discussed the details of an upcoming meeting about Syria in Moscow, where Turkey, Russia and Iran will come together on Dec. 27.
During the conversation, Lavrov also conveyed his condolences to Cavusoglu over the terrorist attack that hit Turkey's central province of Kayseri on Saturday, which left at least 13 soldiers martyred and 55 others wounded.
