MFA expresses its attitude towards the events in Iran

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan expressed its attitude towards the events in Iran

Axar.az reports citing APA.

The head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Hikmet Hajiyev, in his commentary told that the Azerbaijani side wants the events in Iran to proceed peacefully, in accordance with the legislation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Note that in large cities of Iran, including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, and Rasht, since December 28, erupted mass actions of social protest. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the protests are caused by internal problems in the country, as well as by incitement from other countries. According to media reports, at least 20 people became victims of protests.
