Jordanian King Abdullah II on Thursday met with Carl Mundy III, head of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, to discuss the fight against terrorism and military cooperation.

According to a statement released by the Jordanian Royal Court, Thursday’s meeting was also attended by Mahmoud Freihat, chairman of Jordan’s joint chiefs-of-staff.
The Royal Court statement did not say when Mundy arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom or how long his visit would last.
Jordan is a member of a U.S.-led coalition against the Daesh terrorist group, which has carried out counter-terrorist operations in both Iraq and Syria.
