Europe’s conservatives nominate Manfred Weber for EU top job

German politician Manfred Weber has become a single candidate for the post of head of the European Commission from the most influential political force in Europe - the conservative European People's Party in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament in 2019. reports citing Euronews that "this decision was made at the party Congress in Helsinki", the statement reads.
