Foreign Minister of Georgia visits Azerbaijan

Foreign Minister of Georgia Mikheil Janalidze is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

According to the spread information by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Georgian Minister Mikheil Janalidze is going to meet with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev in Baku. Also it is scheduled to meet Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, and Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov.

In addition, the new contract on gas supply has been signed between SOCAR and Tblisi several days ago.

According to the contract, Baku will increase the gas exports to Tblisi by 500 million cubic meters. Thus SOCAR has prevented the access of Iran and “Gasprom” to the Georgian gas market.
