Social assistance is paid to more than 105 000 low-income families in Azerbaijan.

In the current year, providing of targeted social assistance to low-income families are being continued successfully by The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MLSP).

The average monthly amount of targeted social assistance what was paid to each family in January reached 152 manat increasing 9.4 percent in comparison with the same period last year.

According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's order dated on 23 February 2015, the Ministry of Labor to automate the system of targeted social assistance provided by the "electronic government" portal, which provides for the integration of information resources of the state agency for over 20 single electronic application and established destination Subsystem.
