Speaker Ogtay Asadov to visit Turkey

On March 10-11, Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov will be staying on an official visit to Turkey.

Milli Majlis press secretary Akif Nasirov told reporters.

The delegation is comprised of committee chairman of the Parliament, the head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations: Azerbaijan – Turkey Ahliman Amiraslanov, MPs Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Agalar Valiyev, Malik Hasanov, Chingiz Qanizada, Nizami Jafarov, Malahat Hasanova, Farruh Zeynalov, Ganire Pashayeva, Rovshan Rzayev, head of Milli Majlis administration Safa Mirzoyev, head of MM department Safa Mirzayev and other officials.

Within the visit, the delegation will get acquainted with the activities of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Ogtay Asadov will meet with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismayil Gahraman.

In the meeting, the present and the prospects of inter-parliamentary relations, exchange of experience and information in the field of law, the further deepening of friendly relations between the two groups in two parliaments will be discussed.

During the visit, MM speaker Ogtay Asadov is expected to meet with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Ahmad Davudoglu. The discussions will hinge on development of bilateral relations between two fraternal nations to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, situation in the region, ways of resolving conflicts in the region.
