Bodies of internal affairs of Azerbaijan will tighten security measures on the eve of and during Novruz holiday.

A relevant order has been signed Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov, Interior Ministry's deputy spokesman Ehsan Zahidov told about it.

According to the order, personnel of police agencies and regular police units will tighten security measures during upcoming Novruz events – from March 19 to 28 – to be held throughout the country in order to insure the protection of public order, rules of law, and a better organized execution of service duties.

The order also says the number of patrol guards will be increased in public places and the streets, protection of life-support facilities, ass well as diplomatic missions of foreign countries will be kept under strict control.
