Martyred Azerbaijani soldiers laid to rest

Officer of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Colonel Vugar Yusifov, 40, who heroically died during the clashes with the Armenian side, has been laid to rest in the Sishtepe village of Azerbaijan’s Shamkir district.

The funeral was attended by representatives of the Defense Ministry, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, the Shamkir district executive authority, law-enforcement bodies, locals, a group of military officials and soldiers.

Different slogans such as “Martyrs, they do not die (they are immortal), homeland (land, our land) is indivisible” were chanted during the funeral.

The Azerbaijani national flag covering the coffin was presented to the bereaved father.

Soldiers fired three rifle volleys over the grave and the martyred soldier was laid to rest.

Vugar Yusifov had three children.

Officer of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Lieutenant Sahil Shirinov, 24, martyred in fighting with Armenian armed forces, has been buried in the Bum settlement of Azerbaijan’s Gabala district.

The funeral was attended by representatives of the Defense Ministry, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, the Gabala district executive authority, law-enforcement bodies, locals, a group of military officials and soldiers.

Different slogans such as “Martyrs, they do not die (they are immortal), homeland (land, our land) is indivisible” were chanted during the funeral.

Soldiers fired three rifle volleys over the grave. The three colored flag draped over the coffin was handed to the martyr’s father.

Sahil Shirinov graduated from Azerbaijan High Military School named after Heydar Aliyev.

The bereaved brother Zamin Shirinov said he is proud of Sahil. “May all of our martyrs rest in peace,” he said.
