Bodies of Azerbaijani mountaineers handed over to families

The bodies of the mountaineers found yesterday were handed over to their families after examination, the Health Ministry’s Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medical Examination told APA.

After the examination at the Department’s Guba regional branch, the bodies were handed over to their families and sent to Baku for burial.

According to the Department, no injuries were discovered during preliminary examination. The final results of the examination will be clear after laboratory tests.

Three members of Gilavar Air and Extreme Sports Club - Farida Jabrayilzade, Babur Huseynov and Namin Bunyatzade - moving from Khinalig village of Azerbaijan’s Guba district in the direction of Mount Tufandag went missing Dec. 23.

The bodies of all three missing Azerbaijani mountaineers were found on May 16.
