Azerbaijanis hold protest rally against Armenia

A group of Azerbaijan held a protest rally against Armenia in the German city of Cologne.

During the rally the protesters demonstrated pictures of the victims of the Khojaly genocide, waving Azerbaijani and Turkish flags, the Turkish newspaper Milliyet reported.

Addressing the rally, Tarana Taghiyeva, head of the German-Azerbaijan Cultural Society in North Rhine-Westphalia province, said Russia masterminds the attacks carried out by Armenia against Azerbaijan.

“We have lost many soldiers over the last 25 years. Enough of bloodshed! As if, they [Armenians] are enjoying bloodshed. We want peace not only in Azerbaijan, but also throughout the world,” she noted.

Taghiyeva went on to say that they will send a letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and ask her to be more sensitive towards Azerbaijan, calling the “Armenian genocide” ridiculous.
