It’s quite unacceptable that the persons who were directly involved in committing the Khojaly genocide, shedding the blood of children, women, and elderly, are now in power in Armenia, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), told reporters on Thursday.
According to him, what’s even worse is that some states and their leaders who stand against terrorism and genocide sometimes receive the perpetuators of the Khojaly massacre with endearment.
“This is the most extreme level of double standards. As long as these double standards exist and all tragedies including Khojaly are not given right, fair legal and political assessment, it will be impossible to bring justice, peace and tranquility to the world,” Ahmadov stressed.
“When the Khojaly tragedy was committed, none of these tragedies existed, only after this, the Balkan and Middle East tragedies which shook Europe and the entire world occurred. Of course, when a tragedy is not given a legal assessment and its perpetrators are not prosecuted, it leads to new tragedies which we have witnessed throughout the history,” he added.
