Former Number 1-ranked tennis player Kim Clijsters was in the middle of a friendly doubles match at Wimbledon on Saturday when a fan started heckling her from the stands.
Axar.az reports citing New York Daily News.
Instead of taking his advice, Clijsters invited the hecker, who was later identified as Chris Quinn, to face her. However, he wasn’t dressed for the occassion, as the rules mandate that all players dress in all-white.
So Clijsters, not ready to give up, fetched a white skirt from her bag for the man to cram into.
Once he was all decked out in the proper attire, Quinn stood in to face Clijsters’ serve, which he surprisingly returned on his first attempt — although it wasn’t pretty at all.
He failed to return any of the proceeeding three shots, but he got a group photo with the four players, including Clijsters, before heading back to his seat.
“Thank you for going easy on me with the serve,” Quinn tweeted to Clijsters after the fact. “You have made me a bigger hero to my 3 daughters who worship you BTW.”
Quinn also posted on Twitter that he will be auctioning off the lent skirt for charity.
