Galatasaray to sign Fernando from Man City

Galatasaray will sign Brazilian midfielder Fernando Reges from Manchester City, the club announced on Thursday.

In a statement, the club said it had begun official talks with Manchester City to buy the player's contract.

Galatasaray went through major personnel changes this summer, parting ways with Lukas Podolski, Wesley Sneijder, Semih Kaya and Sabri Sarioglu, as well as backup goalkeeper Cenk Gonen.

The Istanbul side added French striker Batefimbi Gomis, Brazilian defender Maicon, right-back Mariano and attacking midfielder Younes Belhanda.
