Axar.az informs citing PL.
He won the prestigious award by receiving the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans via a public vote.
Salah received the honor for his "outstanding" 2017-2018 campaign, which "wrote him into the record books," the PL said in a statement.
The Egyptian player scored 31 league goals this season, making him the joint-highest scorer in a 38-match season. He can become a sole record holder if he scores in Liverpool's Sunday match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Salah's impressive tally of 43 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign has led to him being awarded numerous accolades, including Liverpool's Player of the Season, the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year, Football Writers' Association Player of the Year and African Player of the Year.
On May 26 Salah will try to lead Liverpool to European glory as the Reds will face holders Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev.
