Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has dominated both practice sessions for the Japanese Grand Prix as he mounted the pressure on title rival Sebastian Fettel of Ferrari.
Axar.az reports citing Press.
Hamilton, who'd been fastest ahead of team mate Valtteri Bottash in the 1st practice, lapped the 5.8-kilometer Suzuka Circuit in 1 minute, 28.217 seconds.
That was 0.833 seconds quicker than Fettel, who improved from 5th in the morning to 3rd, quickest in the 2nd session.
Bottash finished 2nd again in the afternoon and couldn’t get closer than 0.461 seconds to Briton's best. Hamilton, who's won 5 of the last 6 races, leads Fettel by 50 points in the standings with 4 races to come after Japan.
