Azerbaijani wrestlers won nine medals

Junior Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers have brought home a clutch of nine medals from an international tournament commemorating World and European champion David Bedinadze in Batumi, Georgia.

Asgar Alizade and Farid Gafarov grabbed the silver medals in the 46kg and 54kg weight divisions respectively.

Other Azerbaijani wrestlers Zaur Aliyev (42kg), Elchin Guluzade (42kg), Araz Shukurzade (46kg), Ali Karimov (50kg), Hasan Mammadli (58kg), Mahammad Alkhasli (85kg) and Ugur Hajili (100kg) scooped the bronze medals of the tournament.

Azerbaijan ranked second in the overall medal table of the tournament.
