Team Azerbaijan returned home

Azerbaijani Olympic team that represented the country at the Rio 2016 Olympics, returned to country.

Azerbaijan, represented at the Olympics by 56 athletes and captured 18 medals (1 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze medals).

The country was among the top 15 countries at the Olympics, which hosted a total of record 206 countries.

Azerbaijani athletes represented the country in 18 sports disciplines

The games, which kicked off on Aug. 5, ended on Aug. 21, and will be followed by the 15th Summer Paralympic Games on Sept. 7-18.
