Kyrgyzstan holds referendum and elections

Today Kyrgyzstan holds referendum on changing the Constitution and elections of deputies to local councils.

Axar.az informs, in all regions of the country at 8:00 am polling stations opened for voting, First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, head of the Republican headquarters to assist the electoral commissions in solving organizational and technical problems in the preparation and conduct of elections of deputies of local councils and the referendum Muhammetkaliy Abulgaziev said during the meeting of the Republican heaquarters in Bishkek.

Local authorities in regions of the countries reported on-line on the readiness of polling stations to conduct the voting procedure. They said that all the polling stations of the country are provided with the necessary special equipment and uninterrupted supply of electricity, heat and ready for a vote.

Abulgaziev, stressing the importance of the upcoming event, instructed all local leaders as quickly as possible to solve the possible emergency situations in the regions, in the case of their occurrence.

The elections will be held in 22 urban and 389 village councils of the country.
