Madrid did not allow the disintegration of Spain

Spain Constitutional Court did not allow to hold a referendum on Catalonia's independence.

Axar.az informs that, "Reuters" news agency reported about that.
Notably, earlier, the leader of Catalonia Pucdemont Carles had announced to hold a referendum on independence in 2017. The vast majority of deputies of the Parliament of Catalonia has supported Pucdemont’s statement.

In November 2014, Catalonia held an unofficial referendum on independence. At that time, 80% of the population of the autonomous region voted in favor of parting from Spain.
