Russia is not planning to attack NATO but the alliance must provide reassurance to the members, US Permanent Representative to NATO.
Axar.az reports citing to ABC, Douglas Lute has told it.
"I do not believe that anyone in Russia today intends to attack NATO. But that doesn't mean that we do not have a responsibility to reassure allies like Estonia, who is our front-line ally that is they have a land border with Russia" - he added.
Notably, since 2014, NATO has been building up its military presence in Europe, particularly in the Baltic states, including Latvia, using Moscow's alleged interference in Ukraine as a pretext for the move.
