Two-person assassination squad of the terrorist organization PKK came to the region to try to assassinate Turan Bedirhanoglu, assistant governor who was appointed as an aide to Sirnak Mayor Serhat Kadırhan, on 17 December.

The target of another terrorist with Şehmus Uğur, who was a terrorist named Bostan Besta, was Hacı Murat Dinçer, Sirnak Director of Anti-Terrorism Branch at the same time. Dincer and his team of special operations took measures before the terrorists in the Governorship of Şırnak where the assassination on the incoming intelligence will be carried out.

The terrorists opened fire when they realized they were noticed. Police officer protected Dincer with his body. Dincer was slightly wounded.

The other terrorist who carried out the attack was wounded and escaped from the scene. The bomb squad that was judged to be used while attacking was down. The efforts to capture that terrorist continue.
