6.3 tremor strikes eastern Japa

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake has struck eastern and northeastern Japan, although there are no reports of damage or injuries. reports to referring to Kyodo news agency Wednesday that no tsunami warning was issued following the 9.38 p.m. (1238GMT) tremor, which occurred in northern Ibaraki Prefecture in the country's east.
