An Egypt Air plane carrying 82 passengers has landed at an airport in Cyprus after it was hijacked on Tuesday morning.

The plane was heading from Alexandria to Cairo, civil aviation sources and police said.

The A320 passenger aircraft of EgyptAir, hijacked by unknown people, has landed at Larnaca airport in Cyprus, RIA Novosti reported.
