Fenerbahce have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign Monaco‘s Nabil Dirar, pending a medical which will be conducted today.
Axar.az reports citing Squawka Football.
The 31-year-old winger, who can also play at right-back, was part of the Monaco team that won Ligue 2 and thus promotion to Ligue 1 back in 2013.
The Morocco international was also part of the squad that won Ligue 1 this season, making 18 league appearances with ten of them coming off the bench.
The former Club Brugge star netted one goal and produced 23 chances, but his career was never the same with Monaco after he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury at the end of Ligue 2-winning season with the club.
Fenerbahce have opted not to reveal too much involving the details of the deal, but state all will be confirmed once Dirar undergoes and hopefully passes a medical later today in the Turkish capital.
An official statement from Fenerbahce read: “Our club has reached a principle agreement with AS Monaco about the transfer of player Nabil Dirar.
“Nabil Dirar will come to Istanbul on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 15:30 and will continue to meet with the club. Dirar’s health checks will also take place in Istanbul.
“The information for the public will be announced.”
