Fire erupts at Iranian navy base - Updated

A huge fire erupted at the residential area of a navy base in southeastern Iranian city of Khorramshahr on Tuesday. reports citing Mehr news agency.

Milad Jafari, spokesman of the provincial fire department, has said the fire began at 11:50 (GMT+4:30) local time.

He added that the firefighters were battling the fire and there were no reports on any possible casualties.


Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it has neutralized a provocative move by a US Navy ship in the Persian Gulf after it fired warning shots at an Iranian vessel. reports citing Press TV.
