Turkish police detain 26 ISIS suspects in Istanbul

At least 26 people, including 17 foreign nationals, have been arrested for suspected links to the ISIS terrorist network, Turkish police said on Thursday.

Teams from Istanbul police’s counterterrorism branch carried out an operation against people reportedly linked to ISIS and who had been in Syria.

The operation, backed by Turkish special forces, targeted 14 addresses in nine Istanbul districts.

Over 319 people have lost their lives in ISIS attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
