About 150 people evacuated from mine in Russia's Yakutia

The Mir mine has been flooded in the city of Mirny in Yakutia, a source in the Republican department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry informed on Friday. reports citing TASS news agency, "There were about 150 people in the mine. Evacuation is underway," the source said. There is no information on casualties.

This is the second accident at the Mir mine operated by the Alrosa company over the past week. On July 29, a rock slide buried a loading machine, there was one person inside who was killed. The mine’s operation was not suspended at that time.
