Ukraine wants to receive gas from TANAP

Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) is a very important project for Azerbaijan, Turkey, Europe and Ukraine, said Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Axar.az reports citing APA.

He made the remarks addressing the opening ceremony of TANAP in Turkey’s Eskisehir city June 12.

The Ukrainian president said that a significant part of the TANAP and Southern Gas Corridor has been completed.

Poroshenko stressed the importance of TANAP in terms of ensuring Ukraine’s energy security.

“I want to thank Azerbaijani and Turkey presidents on the behalf of the Ukrainian people. Ukraine completely supports this project,” he added.

Poroshenko noted that Ukraine wants to receive gas from TANAP through Bulgaria and Romania.

“I believe that natural gas from the Caspian Sea will be exported not only to Ukraine, but also Europe soon,” he added.
