Mercy Tembon will arrive in Azerbaijan

The World Bank (WB) Regional Director for the South Caucasus Mercy Tembon will arrive in Azerbaijan on June 13, the WB Baku office told on June 11.

During her visit, Tembon will hold a number of meetings with representatives of the Azerbaijani government, and will take part in a seminar for employees of the WB Baku office.

Tembon's visit will last until June 15.

She has been the WB regional director for the South Caucasus since October 1, 2015.

Tembon joined the WB in 2000 as an education specialist in the Human Development Department in the Africa Region. She has held various positions, including an extended acting country director post for Tanzania and her most recent assignment being country manager for Burkina Faso.

Azerbaijan joined the WB in 1992.
