CAR (Conflict Armament Research) center in Great Britain has published a report named “Weapons support for civil war in South Sudan”.

Axar.az reports that, the document was financed by the European Union and Federal Foreign Ministry of Germany.

The report says that China, Israel, Ethiopia, Egypt, Armenia, and Belarus are among the countries that provide weapons, air carriers, and warplanes to South Sudan's Armed Forces. According to the report, Bulgaria also provided weapons to South Sudan Armed Forces via Uganda.

The fifth part of the document is called Local Logistics. The first half of this section is "Armenia Registered Aviation".

Facts about the activities of Armenian air carriers that actively support terrorist groups operating in Africa have been clarified in this part:

“Armenia has opposed the EU’s embargo on weapons in South Sudan since 2011. Airplanes with flags of Armenia are actively involved in the transport of South Sudan Armed Forces members and equipment in 2014”.

At the end of 2011, Armenian aircraft planes, Ayk Air and Southern Airlines, carried out dozens of flights to Somalia.

In October-November 2014 another Armenian airline "Veteran Aviation" carried out flights from the United Arab Emirates to the Libyan Air Force Base in Libya which was in civil war at those times.

Let’s remind that, in 2011, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution banning arms supplies to Libya.

A report by the British organization notes that, although the UN Security Council made a decision on arms embargo to Sudan in July 2018, the Armenian aircraft helped supply weapons to the country in that year too.
