The Kremlin is deeply concerned about the tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and calls on the parties to exercise restraint and a ceasefire.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Russia, as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, is ready to mediate a solution. As you know, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had intensive telephone contacts with his counterparts in Baku and Yerevan. Therefore, we call on both sides to exercise restraint," he said.
