No Azerbaijanis among Munich shooting causalities

There are no Azerbaijani nationals among those killed and injured in shootings in Germany’s Munich, Hikmat Hajiyev, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, told on July 23.

“We extend our condolences to the families and relatives of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” said Hajiyev.

A gunman opened fire in a crowded Munich shopping mall and a nearby McDonald’s killing nine people and wounding 16 others on July 22.

Reportedly, the attacker was an 18-year-old German-Iranian man, who after the shootings killed himself.
