Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received a delegation led by MP of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Shamil Ayrim.

Shamil Ayrim noted with satisfaction that the meetings held within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan, in particular, by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, were highly appreciated.
He stressed the importance of increasing the exchange of visits and contacts between the Turkish parliamentary friendship groups, who added that the friendship and fraternity relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, in turn, would contribute to the development of friendly relations.
Mammadyarov highly appreciated the importance of parliamentary dimension in terms of the further development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries, in particular the interparliamentary friendship groups, and highlighted the importance of cooperation among parliamentarians within relevant international organizations.
The sides exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
