Azerbaijan, Pakistan mull military cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizade has met with the country`s Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak to discuss cooperation in military sphere.

Axar.az reports citing Azertag.

The ambassador said that an Azerbaijani delegation will visit the country on the occasion of Pakistan Day Parade due to be held on March 23.

Khattak said Pakistan always backed Azerbaijan`s position on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, reaffirming further support. He said Pakistan is interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan in all areas, including the military one.

Ambassador Alizade commended Pakistan for supporting Azerbaijan`s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying Baku also backs Islamabad`s position on the issues of Jammu and Kashmir.
