At an Asian cooperation forum on Saturday, Turkey’s president stressed the danger that regional and global issues pose to world peace and order.

Axar.az reports citing Anadolu Agency.

In a speech at the 5th Summit of Heads of State of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), President Recep Tayyip Erdogan “stated that regional and global issues lead to not the reign of order but unfortunately disorder in the world,” he wrote on Twitter after returning to Turkey following the summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Erdogan also said he told in his speech how Turkey is trying to shape dynamics around itself through peace, tranquility, and stability.

“I stated that the conference is a platform where we can take joint steps against especially attempts to force faits accomplis on issues which have global and regional sensitivity such as Syria, the terrorism problem, unilateral sanctions harming peace and stability, and Jerusalem,” he added.

On his bilateral meetings on the summit's sidelines, Erdogan said he had fruitful talks towards strengthening bilateral relations with his Iranian, Chinese, Uzbek, and Qatari counterparts.

Erdogan also thanked the host country Tajikistan and other member countries for the support they gave the platform.
