The head of the General Staff of the British Armed Forces, Nick Carter, called for strengthening British influence on African countries to actively confront Russia on this continent.

Axar.az reports citing The Times, the British authorities believe that the “Russian threat” requires strengthening London’s influence in certain regions.

“They make good use of opportunities that are very easy to deny. They know how to manipulate the information environment and state their version of the truth. They are very smart in cyberspace, and it seems to me that they can also make countries feel that Russia is probably a better ally or better bet in terms of support than the West, ”said the head of the British General Staff.
