Gasoline prices went up in Iran: Protests started

A number of Iranian cities held protests last night in protest against rising gasoline prices.

Axar.az reports citing IRNA.

Smaller protests have been held in Mashhad, Shiraz, Birjand, Ahwaz and several other cities in Iran. Protesters in Sircan tried to burn down local oil storage, but police prevented it.

The price of petrol sold in Iran increased three times. The price of petrol, which was earlier sold in Iran, was 1,000 Tm. Every car owner can buy up to 60 liters a month.
