Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed a new defense minister.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has reviewed personnel issues today and has made a decision to appoint a new Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces," he said. Viktor Khren, commander of the Western troops, and Alexander Wolfovich are appointed as the Chief of Staff, "the report says.
