On January 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Davos with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakhariya.

Axar.az informs that, during the meeting, it was noted that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia were developing successfully in various fields.

Emphasis was placed on the implementation of global and regional energy and transport projects with the participation of our countries. It touched upon the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

The importance of this project was emphasized at the meeting held on January 21 in Davos under the World Economic Forum "New vision for Eurasia - partnership for sustainable development" and emphasized its special role in creating a new format of cooperation.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between the two countries.
