The Syrian army has regained control of most of the border between Turkey and Iraq.

Axar.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said this before meeting with the UN Special Representative for Syria, Geir Pedersen. He said efforts are underway to clear the terrorists from Idlib and the north-east of Syria:

“The situation in the region is getting better. The areas under the control of terrorists are steadily declining. The Syrian government has regained control of most of the border between Turkey and Iraq. ”
