The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig.
Axar.az reports that, during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany in a number of areas, including economic, trade, humanitarian, cultural and other areas.
Bayramov briefed the other side on the occupation policy of Azerbaijan, as well as Armenia's threat to security in the region, the latest military provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces on the international border of the two countries, as well as the current situation in the region. It was noted that the contradictory statements and actions of the Armenian leadership, as well as the latest planned provocation, were a blow to the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict.
Stressing that Azerbaijan supports the talks on the merits and results, the minister said that he would never reconcile with the occupation of Azerbaijani territories and that the talks should serve to eliminate the consequences of the occupation.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Manig presented a congratulatory letter from German Foreign Minister Hayko Maas to Jeyhun Bayramov. They expressed confidence that the existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields will continue to develop. The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
