A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova arrived in the Russian Federation on September 21.

Axar.az reports this is Sahiba Gafarova's first official visit to Russia as Speaker of the Milli Majlis.

The delegation includes chairman of the parliamentary committee Samad Seyidov, head of the working group on interparliamentary relations with Russia Nizami Safarov, MPs Eldar Guliyev, Mikhail Zabelin, Amina Agazade, Tural Ganjaliyev, head of the parliamentary administration Safa Mirzayev and other officials. The delegation was welcomed at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and other officials. Tomorrow, the Speaker of the Parliament Sahiba Gafarova will start official meetings in accordance with the visit program.

The speaker visited the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia and laid a wreath at the bas-relief of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
