Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Kakhaber Kuchava during his official visit to Georgia.
Axar.az reports that, according to the Foreign Ministry, the sides noted with satisfaction the further strengthening of high-level relations between the two countries based on the principles of friendship and good neighborliness. In this regard, it was noted that the existing strategic relations between our countries, as well as joint regional projects with the participation of countries contribute to peace, security and prosperity in the region.
It was noted that our bilateral relations are based on the principle of respect for the norms and principles of international law, and it was stressed that our countries unequivocally support each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Touching upon the relations between the Azerbaijani and Georgian parliaments, they stressed the high level of cooperation and the need to increase bilateral efforts to further develop it. It was noted that the Azerbaijani-Georgian working groups on interparliamentary relations played an important role in further strengthening high-level relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Bayramov signed a book of remembrance of the Georgian Parliament.
