The first command military unit was commissioned in liberated Hadrud six months ago - on December 24. Today we open a military unit of newly-established command forces in Kalbajar. It shows that process of army-building is conducted fast after the Second Karabakh War and command forces have all opportunities to implement all tasks ahead of the country, to protect territorial integrity and borders with all other armed units.

Axar.az reports that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev stated this at the opening of the command military unit on the sidelines of his visit to Kalbajar district on June 26 - Armed Forces Day.

"We can proud of our Armed Forces today. Today we celebrate Army Day as a victorious people, winner people. At numerous meetings with servicemen during occupation years - in military units, in trenches, in Lalatapa Height, and in military parades, I always said that we will return to our native lands one day. I always said that we would solve the Karabakh issue by military ways if Armenia did not withdraw from our territories of its own will. It became so. Victorious Azerbaijani Army fulfilled a historic mission with honour" the President mentioned.

President Ilham Aliyev has noted that the Azerbaijani people mobilizing all their forces fulfilled a historic glorious mission.
